Polypropylene Sheet

One of the most widely used plastics in the world.
Ampaglas produces COPOLYMER but homopolymer and random copolymer available on special order. (COPOLYMER= a polymer consisting of two or more different monomers)
Sheet thicknesses from 1 to 12mm – Natural/Black/Grey
Smooth finish or prismatic/leather grain on one side
Thin gauge (0,6-0,8mm) material now in production – corona treated. Clear and white (non reflective)
Impermeable to gases and vapours
Good chemical resistance
High impact resistance
Abrasion resistant
Suitable for fabrication
Can be vacuum formed but narrow temperature band
More rigid than polyethylene
Polypropylene Sheet becomes brittle at low temperatures
Mechanical fastening or welding
Must be corona treated to facilitate printing or wipe with Thinners A

Working Temperatures:-10°C to 140°C, Can be used at continuous temperatures from 90-140°C
Becomes very brittle below 10°C and will likely fail
