BEE Policy and Standing

Ampaglas Plastics Group is Level 4 company, made possible by a representative staff complement and the ownership structure of the Group. This allows customers to claim one hundred percent of their purchases from Ampaglas Plastics Group towards their own BEE certification, and enables Ampaglas to successfully tender for government contracts. The business employs over 400 staff and is focused on skills development and human capital investment, having recently been received a Merseta award as one of the Top Training Companies. The company was also short-listed for both Diversity in the Workplace and Business Education Award by the All Africa National Business Awards in 2011 and the Oliver Empowerment Awards in 2012.

In addition, Ampaglas is actively involved in the social upliftment of various communities, by making donations of stock and various supplies to institutions such the Good Hope Home Based Care Centre in Tembisa. We have also committed to AIDS education and prevention by training key staff members within the company.
